How to Replace Your Furnace Filter

1)Turn off the power to your furnace, and wait for the fan to stop turning.

2)Open your access panel and remove your old furnace air filter.

3)Briefly inspect the area in and around the furnace air filter housing for any trapped dirt or debris.

4)Take your new furnace air filter and use a marker to record the date the filter was installed, for future reference.

5)Slide in your new furnace air filter, making sure to have the arrow on the furnace filter facing in the direction of the air flow.  The orientation of your furnace's air filter can vary depending on the setup of your home's HVAC system.

6)Close the access panel, and restore the power to your furnace.
